| The project aims to analyze and compare data from several regions and synchronic states of the Portuguese Language, in order to detect innovation or conservation of the language status, as well as observe potential factors which could interfere with the language course. Since one does not avail of oral records from ancient times, one has to work with written texts from different periods. The corpus is complemented with 20th- and 21st-century oral interviews available on the site of CLUL, and oral data for the Portuguese of the Tongas from interviews archived at the UM. |
